Privacy Policy
How IPTVRepair.com collects, uses and protects information when you use this website.
Last updated: October 6, 2026
In short: we collect only what we need to run this website, answer your messages and keep user reviews fair. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers.
1. Who we are
IPTVRepair.com is an independent publication that reviews and compares OTT and IPTV platforms. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the team that operates this website. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
Contact form. When you send us a message we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. We use this only to read and answer your enquiry.
Reviews and ratings. When you rate or review a platform we store the name you provide, your star rating and the text of your review. To make sure each visitor can submit only one review per platform, we also store a one-way encrypted fingerprint (a hash) derived from your IP address and from a random device identifier. These hashes cannot be turned back into your IP address and are never published.
Comments. If you comment on an article we store the name, email address and comment you submit, together with the date and your IP address, to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work as intended:
- Review cookie. After you submit a review, a cookie containing a random device identifier is stored for up to five years so that the one-review-per-platform rule can be applied.
- Comment cookies. If you choose to save your details when commenting, your name and email address are remembered in your browser for your next comment.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work, although the review limit may then rely on your network address alone.
4. How we use information
- To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
- To moderate, publish and display approved reviews, ratings and comments.
- To prevent duplicate reviews, spam and abuse.
- To keep the website secure and working correctly.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails.
5. Third-party services
Some features load content from other providers, who may receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests that content:
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on this site.
- Gravatar supplies author and commenter profile pictures.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its server logs.
Platform facts such as a service’s launch date are taken from public domain registration records. Those lookups concern the platform’s own domain and never involve visitor data.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site, or where the law requires us to do so.
7. How long we keep information
- Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
- Reviews, ratings and comments are kept while they remain published, or until you ask us to remove them.
- The encrypted fingerprints used for the review limit are kept with the review they belong to.
- Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, including removal of a review or comment you posted, write to us through the contact page and tell us which content is yours.
9. Children
This website is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. Links to other websites
Our reviews link to the platforms we write about and to other external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, so please read their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy or about your information can be sent through our contact page.
