Bell Fibe TV full review
The Fibe TV app is Bell Canada's TV streaming app that lets Fibe TV subscribers watch live and on-demand TV on their smart TV, streaming device, phone, tablet or computer. At home, you get access to more than 250 live and on-demand channels, with more than 200 available on the go.
Fibe TV packages are flexible. In Ontario, the Starter package costs CA$25/month with over 25 channels, the Good package costs CA$60/month, Better costs CA$70/month and Best costs CA$105/month with the most channels. Bell often adds a CA$5/month credit for two years, and there is also a Starter + Pick 10 option that lets you choose your own channels plus TSN and Sportsnet. Every package includes Crave Standard With Ads. Note that Bell Internet is required to get Fibe TV, and pricing differs by province.
The app lets you pause, rewind and record live TV. Cloud PVR offers 320 hours of storage and can record several shows at the same time, while Download & Go lets you save select movies and series from Crave, Super Channel and Hollywood Suite to watch offline. Recordings are stored for up to 60 days, and the app streams in up to HD depending on your connection.
The Fibe TV app works on Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Bell Streamer, Nvidia Shield, iPhone, iPad, Android devices and web browsers. Support is available through live chat, phone, social media, the Bell community forum and Bell stores.
Verdict: The Fibe TV app is a strong choice for Bell Internet customers who want a full cable-style lineup on any screen, with Crave included and generous cloud recording. The Bell Internet requirement, HD-only streaming in the app and 60-day recording limit hold it back. Our rating: 3.5/5.
